If you have the choice, please cycle to the Centre as it helps ease traffic congestion, is good for the environment and keeps you fit!

University Centre member parking

Members may use the car park in front of the University Centre – at their own risk – whilst visiting the Centre only. You must sign in at Reception, and may be required to leave your car keys.

Staff parking & deliveries

The area adjacent to the north and east sides of the building is reserved for staff use and for the delivery of goods. Parking after midnight or before 8.00 am is not permitted, and wheel-clamps are in operation, with a release fee of £50.

Alternative off-site parking

Further parking is available within a five minute walk of the University Centre.

  • Double Tree by Hilton Hotel car park, opposite the Centre
  • Lion Yard Car Park, on Corn Exchange Street off Pembroke Street Silver Street
  • Outside Darwin and Queens Colleges (motorcycles only)
  • Along the Backs

Please note that parking facilities at the locations listed above are not managed by the University Centre and may be subject to a fee.

Reserving a car park space

The Centre receives over 1,000 visitors a day and has only 12 car parking spaces. However spaces may be reserved, subject to availability, by the following Members:

  • Registered disabled drivers, displaying an official disabled badge
  • Organisers of conferences
  • Riverside Restaurant customers

To reserve a space, call Reception on (01223) 337766.

If the car park is full, disabled badge holders may be asked to park their car opposite the Centre, alongside the Peterhouse Theatre, on the double yellow lines.
