Membership
Who can become a member of The University Centre?
Membership of the University Centre is provided free of charge to all current University employees, students, alumni, CamCard holders and retired staff. Spouses of members are also eligible to apply for membership, which may be granted at the discretion of the General Manager of the Centre.
Some institutions are able to admit applicants to membership at their discretion. These include:
Staff of a Cambridge College
Mature students and staff at the Board of Continuing Education
Mature students and staff of the Theological Federation
Society for Visiting Scholars
Staff of approved institutions. This currently includes:
Association of Open University Graduates
Cambridge Assessment
Cambridge University Press
Crystallographic Data Centre
Institute of Terrestrial Ecology
Medical Research Council
Society of Cambridge Tourist Guides
Tyndale House
University of the Third Age in Cambridge
Occasionally, a University Department or Faculty may wish to invite temporary or visiting staff.
Those who do not fall into any of the above categories may be admitted to membership at the discretion of the General Manager of the University Centre for a fee of £50 per annum.
All rules are at the discretion of the General Manager, and he retains the right to change them at any time.
